Juanita González-Uribe

Juanita is an Associate Professor in Finance at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She specialises in entrepreneurship, private equity, and innovation, focusing on Latin America, the UK, and the US. She is also a research fellow at the Centre for Economic and Policy Research, where she co-organises the WE_ARE Women in Economics seminar series.

As Co-director of LSE’s Financial Markets Group, she helps lead cutting-edge research on global financial markets. Additionally, she serves on the advisory boards of Startup Coalition and the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. She is a member of the Academic Speakers Bureau.

Juanita's academic journey includes earning a PhD in Finance and Economics from Columbia University in New York. Before that, she completed a Master's in Economics and a Bachelor's in Economics and Mathematics at Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.

Daniel Perdomo

Daniel is passionate about driving climate action through expertise in decarbonisation management, climate finance, insurance and strategy.

Daniel has over twenty years of professional experience, over a decade of expertise in clean energy and climate finance consulting and four years in the insurance industry.

He has worked for a range of private and public sector organisations across Europe and the Americas, including Lloyd's, Carbon Trust, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), UNDP, Deposit Guarantee Scheme (FOGAFIN), KPMG and as an entrepreneur.

Daniel's educational background is diverse and includes an Executive MBA from Bayes Business School (formerly CASS) in London, a Master's in Public Administration from Columbia University in New York, specialising in energy and the environment, a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia, and more recently a certificate in sustainable finance from Cambridge University.
